Hi Sir, would you have any pics you could share of E90ERk, I purchased it from Liverpool area many yrs ago with both sets of wheels and spare strip kit, body mouldings and I think what was a steel ecu, it was running 360 at the time.

    Hi.
Do you have my black RS500 on the database? Build number 310.

  • Rob Ure (Sunday, September 08 24 08:58 am BST)

Hello, We’ve just purchased the RS500 which was at Bonhams yesterday, hopefully it can go to Linfoots directly from there for some recommissioning and take it from there! For clarity, we are dealers but the car won’t be up for sale for some time.

It’s as original as you will find, our dilemma is should we paint or not paint - to me I like originality but I appreciate many others prefer concourse….the body does show some scars but over all would detail up to a decent standard.

Anyway, just thought I’d introduce myself, I follow the FB group, we’re not quite ready to get the car out in the public eye yet but rest assured we’re enthusiastists, we also also have an origami’s 1 owner all original XR2, a MK1 Escort Cosworth Turbo, a restored XR2 and we also bought XOO 346F yesterday. The car will live in the Lake District.

Hey Daz, just noticed a 500 come up for sale over here in australia on counting cars. Love to buy it but I’m sure it’s well out of my price range unfortunately. An ex-uk car, E900ELM acccording to the paperwork and build number 213.
Car is in counting cars.com, won’t let me add a link. Not sure if it’s one on your database but would love to know if it’s legit incase it comes up at an affordable price! Chassis number looks to be gg38860 in one of the pics.

    Hi

I hope all is good with you. I hope that you may be able to help me.

I am an award-winning motor sport author, currently working on the official biography of Lella Lombardi. (If you wish to check my credentials, please see https://www.evropublishing.com/collections/all/products/jacky-ickx-his-authorised-competition-history and https://www.evropublishing.com/collections/all/products/niki-lauda-his-competition-history)

As you may be aware, Lella raced Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworths (entered by the Jolly Club, and later by TRS Racing) in the European Touring Car Championship in 1987 and 1988. For the book’s appendix, I am trying to complete a record of every individual chassis she drove, and I wonder if your records might throw some light on which chassis numbers was/were supplied to the Jolly Club for her use?

I have a full list of all the races she contested, if this is of any help.

I will of course make sure there is a formal acknowledgement of any help you are able to provide in the final version of the book, which we aim to publish towards the end of the year.

    Many thanks and kind regards.

    Jon Saltinstall

Hi Daz it's Paul Boakes, I have lost your tel no. Hope you are well. Can you give me your number please, I have been offered a car, seems very cheap. E507vgk. Black. 200 block engine, but comes with a 500 block. Bbs splits. Looks stunning in pics.

Hi Darren, I am the new owner of #007. The car is now in Dublin. I only have it 10 days. I traded in a standard 3dr against it, and can’t honestly believe I now own on a RS500. I have read on how you started your passion of the RS brand and also this Data base. Very impressive to say the least. 👍I am trying to piece together the history of my car, and would appreciate any information you may have on it please.

  • John Carway (Tuesday, December 08 20 12:34 am GMT)

Hello. My grandson has recently acquired an RS 500 with chassis number ending: GG39039 and registration number: E500ARG. By my reckoning this car would be build number 460. However the car is black and on your build list 460 is blue. I was wondering if the build numbers on your list follow the chassis numbers sequentially There is very limited history with the car so we would be most grateful for any information that you may have on this car.
